# Delete folder

> Delete a folder. Its recordings are moved to the trash. Deleting a folder that does not exist succeeds without doing anything.

Deletes a folder, as in the Claap app: the folder is removed and its recordings are moved to the trash.

API keys without access to private recordings cannot delete folders whose `memberPermission` is `NoAccess`: the request succeeds without deleting anything.
